We are seeking kind, caring, responsible individuals who love working with kids and young adults and want to help individuals with disabilities grow to their fullest potential. Habilitation & respite providers are paraprofessionals that work directly with individuals in their homes, working towards goals that include learning social skills and executive functioning skills and tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be 18 years or older.

  • Applicants should be able to work at least 2 late afternoons per week to provide care during after-school hours. Morning, daytime, and weekend shifts are also available, but there is greater need for afternoons/early evenings and weekends.

  • Applicants should have at least 3 months of overall experience caring for another individual. Experience caring for children is preferred but not required.

  • Staff are expected to provide their own transportation to commute to and from member/client homes within a 10-15 mile radius of your home.

  • Ability to communicate proficiently in English both verbally and in writing.

  • Additional pay is available for providers proficient in Spanish.

  • Providers can expect to work 10-15 hours per week with each family that they are matched with. Providers can work additional hours if they are willing and able to work with more than one family or can be on-call for backup.

  • Experience with autism, or other developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.

  • Pass a background check and obtain a fingerprint clearance card is required (we will help with this).

  • Complete CPR, First Aid and other certifications as part of the hiring process.
